Post Office Headache!

This morning with my daughter in tow (sick with an ear infection mind you) I went to the post office to mail all of my wonderful blog readers their requested green cleaning sample. I am so excited to introduce this cleaner into so many homes that I have no doubt everyone that gets a FREE sample will love it and come back for more. The recent mention of my blog in the New York Times created some generous traffic and therefore more then expected requests for the samples. I worked on getting the samples ready this weekend and addressed the envelopes and got them all ready for my Monday post office trip.

When I got the window the lady said she could not mail them with the $.58 stamps. They were not a standard envelope and would not fit through the automated slot and it would cost $1.13. I have no problem paying this so that people can begin using my wonderful product and start cleaning safer but I have a problem with the cost changing in one week. You see last week I mailed out dozens of the samples the exact same way for $.58 a envelope with no problem. The lady informed me I was given the wrong information and all of my envelopes will come back to me. Weird because several people have gotten their samples and like I said…they love the product (I knew it)!

Another interesting thing she said to me was that it is cheaper for me to mail the envelope to Canada because they manually sort their mail but in the U.S. we have an automated system and my envelope would not fit through the automated slot. Basically I am paying more for a machine to automatically put my mail through a slot then if someone in Canada manually sorts through the mail. So I said to the lady, “You mean I am paying more for a machine to do the work then if we did not have the machines in the U.S. and could employee more people and give them work?” She just starred at me. Some things I suppose we are not meant to understand. Oh, did you know that the price of stamps is going up in May?

So what a headache! For today and hopefully today only I have taken the request for the free sample off my blogs until I can this situation resolved. I don’t want the requests to pile up and for me to get behind. Hopefully if you’re truly interested in trying a natural and non-toxic cleaner that cleans like no other…you’ll just subscribe and keep coming back to my blog. Sorry.
